Canoe exploration trip down the millpond from 3:30 - 5:00. If you want to canoe and haven't signed up, please let me know ASAP. Space is very limited. Fellowship time will be at the picnic shelter beginning at 3:30. Bring your lawn chair, sit back, have a cool soda, and enjoy each others company.

Games - horse shoes, water balloons, etc. beginning at 5:00. There is also a great place to roller skate or roller blade if you are so inclined!

Hiking though the woods and around the millpond is another options. Remember to bring bug spray.

Cookout will begin at 6:00 at the picnic shelter. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish and a beverage and / or dessert. Come, invite a friend, and enjoy a fun time of fellowship.

Directions From Belvidere, follow Hwy 37 past Gliden. Turn right on Hwy 37/ 32. Go approx. 2 miles, bear left at the fork - Hwy 37. Go approx. 4 miles, turn right onto Mill Pond Road. Go approx 2 miles. This 1st Merchants Mill Pond sign is for the canoeing. To get to the picnic shelter, cross the little bridge and the drive way to the picnic shelter is on the right. It will take you about 15 - 20 min. from Belvidere.

As you may have heard, Piney Woods is hosting a Family Day on Sunday, September 10. We are inviting the 3 other Friends Meetings in our quarter to participate. We will be having a cookout, some fun activities, and Step of Faith will be sharing in music with us.

We need your help. We are going to have a volleyball tournament with the other meetings. We need players! Boys and girls, men and women! All ages. I think that this is going to be a fun time for everyone. We need to get our team together and practice a time or two before Sept. 10. If you would like to participate, please let me know. We will have a sign up poster on the bulletin board at church.
